Our first investigation looks at the sales history of Virginia Highlands over the past 24 months. Virginia Highlands with its eclectic road layout and boutique shopping districts was established circa 1910. Homes and streets were developed in relation to the trolley line of the Atlanta Street Railway Company. The commercial establishments were also built alongside the trolley line which was the most commonly used method of transportation at the time. Now lets take a look at a 2 year sales history of the area. The general neighborhood boundaries in this investigation are: E. Morning Side Dr. to the North, Briarcliff Ave. To the east, E. Ponce De Leon to the South, and Monroe Dr. to the West.
